For this project, I was assigned the Jazz music genre and asked to design an album cover based on this genre style. For this, I started with researching existing Jazz album covers and studying the fonts used, color themes, and composition. My goal for this design was for it to respond to a younger audience and their wants and needs. With Jazz being a genre that has an overwhelmingly older audience, I wanted my album cover to simultaneously draw the attention of younger audiences while preserving the look and feel that is familiar to older audiences.
