For this project, I revisited an older branding project I had done for class a few semesters back. The project involved designing a series of branded documents to promote one of the UN Global Sustainability Goals. For this, I chose the “Life below Water” goal and highlighted the issue of water pollution in oceans. I developed original illustrations of fish that are satirical yet thoughtful.The thesis of this project centers around the idea that our food sources are being polluted by our own actions.
For the Redesigned version, I knew I could make this piece much stronger. The concept and visual language I had developed in the original design were strong, however, it lacked a level of polish that I knew I could achieve with my updated skillset. I retained some of the original imagery, however, I added new illustrations and changed the typeface choices.
